Occupancy
What It Does
Built for occupancy.
An AI-powered occupancy sensor with 98% counting accuracy across 127 m² of coverage — true people counting, not just presence. The basis for space utilisation and Martyn's Law occupancy limits. LoRaWAN decoder: Milesight VS121 payload decoder & codec (GitHub)
Highlights
98% counting accuracy
AI video analytics count people crossing a line or occupying a zone to 98% accuracy — reliable enough to support Martyn's Law occupancy limits and space utilisation reporting without manual tally.
GDPR compliant, no images stored
Processing happens on-device; no images or video are ever transmitted or stored, so the sensor can be deployed in classrooms, corridors and communal areas without privacy concerns or data governance overhead.
Up to 16 zones per sensor
A single ceiling-mounted unit can map up to 16 detection regions across a 190° field of view, letting one sensor cover an open-plan office or a large classroom without multiple devices.

Complete The Setup
You will also need a gateway.
Every LoRaWAN sensor needs a gateway to reach the internet. One gateway covers a whole building — the Milesight UG65 is the standard choice for most sites.
On The Platform
A device on its own, or part of the bigger picture.
Buy this device and run it yourself, or have it monitored on the Planetic platform — live dashboards, standards tracking and automatic alerts, with the compliance evidence kept for you.
Questions
Good to know.
- Do I need anything else to use this device?
- Every LoRaWAN sensor needs a gateway to reach the internet. One gateway covers a whole building — the Milesight UG65 is the standard choice for most sites. The gateway itself does not need a sensor to run.
- Is the price ex VAT?
- Yes — all prices shown are ex VAT. VAT is added at checkout where applicable.
- Can I have it monitored on the Planetic platform?
- Yes. Buy the device outright and run it yourself, or have it monitored on Planetic — live dashboards, standards tracking and automatic alerts, with compliance evidence kept for you.
